A message from Jeanine

We Actors are amazing creatures.

In order to survive in New York, most of us must be savvy enough to find work out of our industry to support our craft. I'm one of the lucky ones. I have worked as a facilitator/actor on Wall Street, and for the pharmecutical industry, been a nanny, worked in theater for young audiences,NY Theater, TV, Film, hosted speed dating parties, worked in restaurants, catered parties, and am a personal chef and event planner.  All of these experiences have led me to creating Mélange Internationale.

My goal is to bring folks from different walks of life together with food. Mélange Internationale's logo is a Tibetan symbol, the infinite knot. It symbolizes interconnection. We are all connected. I like that, when we stop looking at our differences, look into one another's eyes and connect, we can begin to see more similarities. It's not a solution, but I think it's a start.

Food is the great connector. Whether you are a carnivore, flexitarian, vegetarian, raw food enthusiast, vegan, we've all gotta eat!  Why not just start the process of embracing cultural differences by sharing fantastic feasts, exchanging ideas and getting to know one another as individuals.

Simple as that. I'm not offering a solution, just a start. Mélange Internationale is inclusive, not exclusive, and open to people of all races, genders, sexual orientations interested in friendship, dating, networking and living inter-racially.

We can learn from one another and grow as a strong community. We can share ideas about cuisine, relationships, health, fitness, humor and life strategies.

I promise I will come to the table with great people, yummy snacks, all my creativity, a big smile and a joke or two. I'm committed to silliness and joy. Come hang out with Mélange Internationale; let's make Mélange my Auntie Titta's house for the 21st century.
